Questions
Do I need experience?
No. The complete course starts from zero, on land, before you go in the water.
How long is each lesson?
Ideally at least 2 hours, but a lesson can be longer or shorter depending on your level.
How long does it take to learn?
The complete course is 10 hours, in stages. Everyone learns at their own pace, and your instructor adapts the lessons to your level.
When is the best time?
The wind season runs from June to January, with the strongest winds from August to November. You can also learn in May, June, December and January.
Is there a minimum age? Do I need to know how to swim?
The minimum age is 8. You don't need to know how to swim: a vest and a helmet are always worn, and lessons are in shallow water.
What if there's no wind?
You can reschedule free of charge or get a refund if you've already paid. If you can reschedule, the school does its best to fit you in at another time.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the lesson are not refunded. Otherwise, the school works it out with you on WhatsApp.
Is the gear included?
Yes. All gear is included in lessons, along with setting it up and packing it away.
What languages are the lessons in?
Portuguese, English, Spanish and French.
How much does a lesson cost?
It depends on the course (private or semi-private lessons, or a package), the number of hours and the time of year. Plan your lesson here and the school will reply on WhatsApp with prices.
